STYLES OF THE WEEK
HI EVERYONE.
SORRY I HAVEN'T UPDATED THIS BLOG IN A WHILE,TRUTH IS I HAVEN'T HAD ANY TIME TO BLESS MYSELF, WITH MY NEW PUPPY,DARKIE AND SEMINARS.
ANYHOW, HERE IT GOES.
WITH THE WEDDING SEASON UPON US NOW, WE HAVE BEEN TRAWLING THROUGH STYLE BOOKS LOOKING FOR UP TO THE MINUTE HAIRSTYLES. I FIND LOOKING AT CELEBRITY'S HAIR GOOD INSPIRATION FOR A LOOK THAT IS GLAMOROUS, POLISHED AND ALSO VERY STYLISH.
TO CREATE THE LOOK SHOWN ON THE RIGHT
Step 1: Wash and dry your hair, rinse well ensuring not to leave any residue of condition. Comb through to take out any knots.
Step 2: Add a small amount of Kerastase Volumactive ,a light mouse that will help give your hair volume. Blow dry your hair with your head down and use the paddle brush to keep your damp hair near the heat.
Step 3: When your hair is completely dry backcomb it to give lots of volume towards the back of your head. When your hair has the desired volume take two sections of hair from the front and pin them back loosely. Leave some strands of hair towards the front of your face to emulate the Brigitte Bardot look. Use L’Oreal’s Elnett, to hold the style.

ALSO A LOOK WE HAVE BEEN DOING A LOT OF IS THE KEIRA KNIGHTLY LUXE LOCKS (SEE PIC BELOW)
TO CREATE THIS LOOK
Step 1: Wash the hair but use very little conditioner, if your hair is in good condition don’t use any for this look.
Step 2: First, your attention should be on the fringe. To prevent it from separating don’t blast dry the hair before the fringe is completely blow-dried into shape.
Step 3: Section all the rest of the wet hair out of the way and using a small barrel brush blow-dry the fringe from roots to ends, flick the roots with the brush and position the hairdryer in the shape of the fringe. Pull right down and when coming to the end put a slight turn under in order for the fringe not to look too blunt.
Step 4: When fringe is dry, you can now continue to dry the rest of the hair using a paddle brush or a large barrel brush making sure the top is sleek and straight. When hair is completely dry, wrap the mid lengths and ends around a medium size curling tongs and continue to do this the whole way around the head.
Step 5: When finished, use a serum to loosen up the curls by slightly pulling them down, let the hair go into shape and if necessary smooth out the fringe. Finish with a light hairspray and with your fingers loosen up the roots so it’s not too flat.
ANOTHER POPULAR LOOK IN THE SALON IS THE FISHTAIL BRAID , FOR A CHANGE IN LOOK FOR THE WEEKEND. CLIENTS ARE COMING IN WITH THEIR HAIR ALREADY STYLED JUST TO GET A BRAID PUT IN,TO UPDATE THEIR LONG HAIR. AS SEEN HERE ON STYLE GURU JENIFER ANISTON ( OR JENNY TO ME ;) LOL )
TO CREATE THIS LOOK
Step 1: First wash and conditioner your hair, rinsing thoroughly. Apply a root lift spray or a very light mousse and blast dry hair upside down with a large paddle brush until slightly damp.
Step 2: The plait should be done while hair is damp not wet. If you are new to french plaits get someone who has more experience with them to help in order to make sure the plait is tight enough.
Step 3: Use a mousse or a setting spray directly onto the section. Section the front at the parting and take the section as low as desired, plait the hair using small sections on thick hair and slightly larger on fine hair making sure you don’t lose your tension. Use a small elastic band to hold the ends, you can either leave it behind the ear or pin it to hairline out of sight.
Step 4: When the plait is in place continue to dry the rest of the hair with the paddle brush preferably upside down in order to get the slight lift on the roots. When hair is dry and smooth use either heated rollers or velcro rollers and wrap the hair in big sections around the rollers and leave for 15-30mins.
Step 5: Take the rollers out and using a shine serum pull down on the curls until just a very small curl is left, don’t use too much serum as it will make it look greasy. Finish with a light blast of hair spray.
THAT SHOULD KEEP YOU ALL GOING FOR A DAY OR TWO! I WON'T LEAVE IT SO LONG THE NEXT TIME. BYE! XOX LAWRAIN
